Junior Purchasing Assistant — Mohammedia
As part of strengthening our Purchasing department, we are recruiting a Purchasing Assistant to join our team in Mohammedia. This permanent position is ideal for a junior profile (1-2 years of experience) looking to grow in a dynamic and structured environment. You will support the Purchasing Manager in monitoring local purchasing operations, from the request for quotation to the receipt of orders. We are looking for an organized, rigorous, and autonomous person capable of managing multiple files simultaneously while maintaining a trusting relationship with our suppliers. Main responsibilities
- Process requests for quotations to meet the needs of sales teams in real time.
- Identify and consult local suppliers to obtain competitive quotes.
- Compare supplier offers and participate in optimizing costs, quality, and lead times.
- Establish, monitor, and follow up on purchase orders until their complete receipt.
- Ensure delivery tracking and manage any disputes with local suppliers.
- Research new local suppliers to develop a panel of reliable partners.
- Collaborate with various departments to anticipate supply needs.
- Update supplier databases, prices, and purchasing tracking tables.
- Verify the conformity of orders, receipts, and invoices according to internal procedures.
- Ensure compliance with supply deadlines and alert in case of risk of shortage.
Desired profile
- At least Bac+2 in Purchasing, Logistics, Management, Commerce, or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role as a purchasing or supply assistant.
- Good command of purchasing techniques and office tools, especially Excel.
- Ability to use management software (ERP) for order tracking.
- Rigor, organizational skills, and ease in managing multiple files simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, team spirit, and autonomy in taking initiatives.
- Analytical and synthesis skills to compare offers and optimize decisions.
- Service orientation and adaptability to collaborate with different internal departments.
