Finding a job in Morocco: Jawb’s practical guide
A job title does not tell the whole story. Location, responsibilities, working hours and required skills matter too. This guide helps you compare opportunities in Morocco and prepare a relevant application, whether you are starting out or looking for your next role.
Guide reviewed on 1 October 2026 · Jawb EditorialOrganise your job search, step by step
1. Choose a role and a search area
Write down two or three job titles that fit your skills, then the cities where you can work. Similar roles may use different titles, such as administrative assistant, secretary or office clerk. Start with a broad search, then narrow the sector. Expand your area only if commuting or relocating is realistic for you.
Search by keyword, sector and city →2. Read the vacancy before sending your CV
Check the employer’s name, city, contract type, experience and language requirements. Separate essential skills from those you can learn. If salary, hours or the exact workplace are missing, prepare questions for the recruiter. A boosted listing has a paid visibility option; it does not guarantee an interview or a job.
Browse company pages →3. Tailor your CV to the role
Put your target role, current contact details and city at the top. Describe responsibilities and tools you know with specific examples. For a first job, highlight relevant internships, study projects or voluntary work. Be honest about your French, Arabic and English. A published CV profile can be viewed by recruiters with the appropriate Jawb access; keep it up to date.
Prepare or upload my CV →4. Personalise each application
Use the application method shown on the vacancy. Briefly explain the role you are applying for, your availability and a skill matching the employer’s needs. Proofread your message and check the attachment. If you apply through WhatsApp or another external channel, keep your own record: those conversations are not necessarily saved in your Jawb account.
Watch the candidate tutorial →5. Prepare interviews and track applications
Keep a list of roles, application dates and replies. Prepare an example of a problem you solved, a short introduction and questions about the position. Follow up politely when an announced deadline has passed. Jawb quizzes can help identify skills to practise; they are not certifications and do not replace the recruiter’s assessment.
Explore tests and quizzes →6. Check details before committing
Compare the vacancy with the employer’s presentation. Be cautious about requests for money to secure a job or unexplained requests for sensitive documents. Clarify pay, working conditions and required paperwork. For legal rules or administrative procedures, consult the relevant official source rather than relying on a promise in an advertisement.

Practical questions about finding work in Morocco
Where can I find jobs in Morocco?
Start with Jawb’s Jobs section and filter by occupation and city. You can also check employers’ websites and ANAPEC. For public recruitment competitions, consult the official Emploi Public portal and the relevant recruitment notice.
Can I apply without experience?
Look for entry-level vacancies and internships suited to your studies. Show specific achievements, including study projects. Check each listing: not every position is open to applicants without experience.
Should my CV be in French or Arabic?
Follow the language and instructions in the vacancy. Prepare a clear CV in the required working language and keep information consistent across versions. Do not claim a language level you cannot demonstrate in an interview.
How can I compare salary offers?
Ask whether pay is gross or net and separate fixed pay from bonuses. Compare working hours, commuting, benefits and responsibilities. A broad average alone cannot determine a suitable salary for a particular position.
Does uploading a CV guarantee contact from recruiters?
No. A visible, current profile helps recruiters with CV database access discover you, but contact depends on their needs. Continue applying to relevant vacancies.
Useful official resources
Alongside Jawb’s listings and advice, consult ANAPEC for employment support, Emploi Public for public competitions and HCP for labour-market statistics. Check the dates and conditions on each source.
