A CV listing “motivated”, “versatile” and “computer literate” still says little about what someone can actually do. As Morocco enters autumn 2026, digital job seekers have a more useful question to answer: which task can I take responsibility for, and how can I demonstrate it?

Recent vacancies offer clues. So does the debate around artificial intelligence and changes in offshoring. The key is to separate evidence, ambitions and application advice. Here is our assessment as of 30 September 2026.

What September vacancies show

The Novancy One listings checked on 30 September include September updates in software development, cloud, cybersecurity and data, covering permanent jobs and freelance assignments. Several target Casablanca or Rabat. They indicate specific hiring needs, not a national ranking of the fastest-hiring occupations.

A visible listing does not guarantee that a vacancy remains open when you read it, or that it is suitable for a beginner. Check its date, required experience, actual work location and application process. One recruitment firm's catalogue cannot, by itself, measure the health of Morocco's labour market.

Offshoring: reading the ambition correctly

The Ministry of Digital Transition sets a target of 270,000 offshoring jobs by 2030, against a 2022 base of 130,000. This is a targeted sector workforce, not 270,000 vacancies available today. The strategy emphasises higher-value activities.

Our advice to candidates is straightforward: do not choose a course or a career change on the strength of an announced number alone. Examine actual duties, entry requirements and progression opportunities. A public target indicates a direction; it does not replace a signed job offer.

AI at work: learn to check, not just generate

In its analysis of 29 June, updated on 17 July 2026, Médias24 discusses the trade-offs facing offshoring, including AI. Le Matin also examines Morocco's readiness for this transformation. These sector analyses cannot predict the future of each occupation.

For an interview, demonstrating responsible use is more helpful than listing tools. Take a fictional document, prepare an AI-assisted summary, then explain the errors you corrected. What did you verify? Which information is missing? Which decision should remain human? Never use a former employer's confidential records as demonstration material.

Four ways to make your skills visible

The following examples are Jawb.ma preparation advice, not a statistical ranking of hiring demand.

  • IT support and networks: describe a diagnosis from initial symptom to resolution. A small home lab and a readable report can illustrate your method. Distinguish practice exercises from professional experience.
  • Development and testing: present a small working application, explain how it works and acknowledge its limitations. Show how you reproduced and fixed a defect.
  • Data and reporting: clean a public or fictional dataset and build a dashboard that answers a specific question. Explain the calculations behind the charts.
  • Customer service and coordination: prepare a clear written response to a fictional complaint, an oral explanation and a case follow-up. Communication deserves evidence as concrete as a technical skill.

French, Arabic and English: describe a credible level

Writing “trilingual” is not enough. Explain what you can do in each language: welcome a customer, write an email, join a meeting or understand technical documentation. Requirements depend on the role and its audience; not every vacancy requires all three languages.

Prepare an explanation of your latest project in French and English if the role requires them. For a position serving the Moroccan public, practise explaining a process in Arabic too. If your writing is weaker than your speaking, describe that accurately rather than overstating your ability.

Beginners and career changers: choose a realistic entry point

A short course does not automatically turn a beginner into a cloud architect or cybersecurity expert. Start with work suited to your level. A personal project, internship or volunteering experience can support an application when presented honestly.

Before paying for training, compare its syllabus with several job descriptions. Ask to see examples of student work, the amount of hands-on practice and the support offered. A certificate can strengthen your application; it does not remove the need to explain your work.

A seven-day application plan

  1. Day 1: choose a target role and establish your location, mobility and working-hours constraints.
  2. Day 2: analyse around ten recent vacancies and note recurring skills.
  3. Days 3 and 4: prepare a short demonstration appropriate to the role's level.
  4. Day 5: rewrite your CV around verifiable achievements. Never invent performance figures.
  5. Day 6: send a few targeted applications and keep a record.
  6. Day 7: rehearse an interview and prepare questions about duties, contract terms and pay.

For employers: make the requirement clear

A good vacancy separates essential skills from those that can be learned after joining. Specify expected independence, working languages, location, contract type and, where possible, a pay range. Keep assessments short and representative, with identical instructions for all applicants. Do not request unpaid work that could be used for a real client.

Turn research into action

Make a trend useful by turning it into a practical next step: a clearer CV, a skill to practise or a better-chosen application. Browse available jobs on Jawb.ma, then upload or update your CV to present your experience to recruiters. Greater visibility may help you make contacts; it does not guarantee employment.
